Delete Your RulesForge Account
Last updated: 2026-08-09
You can delete your RulesForge account and its data at any time, directly inside the app. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
1. How to delete your account
Open the RulesForge app and sign in. Go to the Account screen (your profile), scroll to the bottom, and open the account deletion section. Type DELETE to confirm. Your account is locked and hidden from other players immediately, and permanently erased after a 14-day grace period. Changed your mind? Sign back in during those 14 days to restore everything; we also send a reminder email shortly before the deadline.
2. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials, profile (display name, @username, avatar, bio), stories and adventures, characters and library entries, custom game systems, direct messages you sent, friendships, and account settings.
3. What may be kept
Content you posted in shared spaces (forum posts and messages in multiplayer rooms) may remain visible without your name attached, so other players' conversations stay intact. Payment records are retained by our payment processor as required by law. Moderation records (such as reports and enforcement history) may be retained for safety. A one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your email address is kept solely to prevent repeat free-trial abuse; it cannot be turned back into your email address. Routine backups age out automatically.
4. If you cannot access the app
If you can no longer sign in, you can request deletion by contacting us through the support channels listed on rulesforge.net, from the email address on the account. We will verify ownership before deleting.
